Led by Donald R. Keatch, a manufacturing industry executive with 35 years experience, Manufacturing Strategies Inc. is a firm dedicated to Business Improvement. Our philosophy is to help clients “improve the foundation for growth and profitability”. Our desire is to help clients work towards “World Class”.
We are grounded in ‘Lean thinking’, Process improvement and Innovation, and believe all exist in any organization, no matter what size, but can be fine-tuned to improve overall operational effectiveness.
Our ‘strategy’ is to provide services at different levels, depending on the clients needs. Our assignments generally involve an assessment of the company’s current operational situation, developing an improvement plan, achieving plan consensus with management and staff, and mentoring the implementation of that plan.

- Partnered in the successful turn around of an equipment OEM, resulting in sale to private equity,
- Managed the turnaround of a Steel Fabrication and assembly operation, guiding it through a major industry recession,
- Founded and operated a full service Information Technology company, specializing in manufacturing applications,
- Lead the selection, acquisition and implementation of ERP systems for several small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors,
- Vice Chair and Director of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Division and Chairman of Regional Lean Manufacturing Consortium,
- Participated in Lean tours of over 40 manufacturing plants across Canada and the United States.
